Hello, Fireflies!
Do you sometimes identify with Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde? A little sweet and a little sour? Innocent with a naughty side? Such is the yin and the yang of life - and when I saw this nail art by this unknown artist on Pinterest, I knew I had to do a version that reflected my own polish struggles.
On the one side - pink. Innocent, sweet, subtle holo - Girly Bits Hot Shot.
On the other side - dark, jelly, vampy Sheswai WineSnob.
You could get lost, swimming in the jelly depths of Winesnob, or float on fluffy pink clouds of Hot Shot. Both beautiful in their own way.
Are you fluffy? or vampy?
I used to doodle Yin-yangs all over the place as an adolescent!
ReplyDeleteObviously, from the shape of mine, I didn't! lol. I should have gotten more practice!
DeleteNice yin-yang design!!
ReplyDeletethanks, Lisa!
DeleteI am both, naughty and nice. Life is boring w/o some naughtiness right? I love the yin yang nail art!
ReplyDeleteMe, too! I agree - sugar and spice!
DeleteThis is very sweet and nice :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Maria! You are also sweet and nice!
DeleteCute mani! I like that you did pink and black instead of white and black. :D
ReplyDeleteIt looks like black, doesn't it? It's actually a vampy burgundy. I thought it looked good with the pink. Guess I'm still feeling the residual effects of Valentines' Day..
DeleteCute design. Love the halo.
ReplyDeleteIt's a very subtle holo, but I love the depth it gives.
DeleteLoving this nail design! I guess everyone has a little bit of both, otherwise life would be plain boring :)
ReplyDeleteYes, those REALLY nice people just seem super fake, right? And the really mean people are just trolls. lol.
Deletethat pink polish is so pretty
ReplyDeleteI agree! Girly Bits has yet to disappoint me.
DeleteThis is too cute, but the design makes it not overly so. Love!
ReplyDeleteI'm always trying to balance my 40+ year old self with my inner 12-yr old boy and my inner princess. When I wear pink, the Princess wins. When I make fart jokes, the 12-yr old wins. lol.
DeleteHot Shot is gorgeous and I love your nail art.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I wouldn't mind it being a tad more holo, but the color is so pretty, it doesn't matter. :)
DeleteI like the yin yang design, especially pairing the pink with the darker wine color.
ReplyDeleteThanks! it's the yin-yang of looooove....
DeleteThe yin yang design looks beautiful but I'm a tad disappointed that the pink isn't more holo. When I go holo I like HOLO!!
ReplyDeleteI'm right there with ya! I love a rainbow holo flame. Though I also can now appreciate a nice scattered holo, or a more subtle one. But my first holo love will always be that flame!
DeleteI need a Girly Bits polish in my life.
ReplyDeleteI must agree with this! She was one of the first Indies I bought, and her quality is great.
DeleteLooks great!! Wonderful choice of colours.
ReplyDeleteI'm flattered you came and looked! Thanks, Pam!
DeleteThis looks great!
ReplyDeleteI need to practice my yin or is it my yang?
DeleteThis is very pretty :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Betzy!
DeleteI can't take credit for it, but I love it, too!
ReplyDeletevery cute design!
ReplyDeleteI can't take credit for the original design, but I'm glad you like my interpretation of it! :)
