Sunday Stamping - Valentines Stamping Skittle
Hello, Fireflies!
Sorry I'm a little late today! I have a good excuse - it's my birthday!
Which probably means that tomorrow's post will be late, too...
Today's stamping challenge was either Valentines' Day, or Anti-Valentines' Day. I personally don't celebrate the day because I think it's a Hallmark holiday. But, the hubby and I do enjoy the day after, which is the day all the candy goes on sale!
Today's look starts with Sheswai Yowza. And, YOWZA it is! so pretty and vibrant - and on sale at Ricky's NYC for about 3 bucks!
I have been trying and trying to get the Luminous Color Club flakie collection from Llarowe, and I finally scored it! This is Color Club Pink Planet, a lovely flakie combo of copper, green, and purple in a slightly pink-tinted base. Reminds me of the Nfu-Oh flakies!
I decided to do a different stamp on each finger. DRK - A had a bunch of different heart stamps, and I couldn't decide! I used Essie No Place Like Chrome for the stamping.
I had a little trouble with some of the stamps. My fave is the skull with hearts for eyes... there were more hearts on the stamp, but my nails are too tiny to really show the detail! Those of you with larger nail beds are so lucky! I have kiddie-sized hands.
I love how the flakies peek through. I love flakies. Have I said that already?
Bottle shot: Color Club Pink Planet, Sheswai Yowza, and Essie No Place Like Chrome.
I'm celebrating today with my free Grand Slam breakfast at Denny's! How exciting, eh?

This is so sweet, I love the background you created too!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Maria!! I love a good flakie. I can't help it, lol
DeleteGreat stamping skittle for Valentines! Its very cute :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lisa! It's a little imperfect.. but so am I, and so is my love. But I keep on trying!
DeleteHappy Birthday! *hugs*
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, that's sweet of you. :)
DeleteLove that flakie!!!!!! Want it!
ReplyDeleteFlakies are so magical! Every one I see, I want - even if I have one just like it. Crazy!
DeleteBeautiful stamping! Love Sheswai!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I do, too. I even love the beautiful wood handle. Can't beat the sale price, either!
DeleteLove flakies and that skull is adorable!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, the skull was one of my faves, too!
Deletethat flakie is so pretty and delicate! and i definitely need that plate in my life. i'm getting more into stamping, so whenever i see a new plate i'm like "MUST HAVE THEM ALLLLL" lol gorgeous mani! =D
ReplyDeleteLOL, I was exactly the same way when I first got into stamping. I was lucky (or unlucky!) enough to come across someone who needed to sell a bunch of plates, including some from international distributors, when I first got started. If you join some stamping groups, they often put together group buys for international plates, or get coupon codes. Pueen and Shany and Bundle Monster and Cheeky have some good plates for decent prices on Amazon.com, too.
DeleteLove!!!! I'm horrible at stamping. I needs the practice BAD lol
ReplyDeleteIt's why I still do these challenges! I need the practice - and the inspiration. :) lol. A squishy stamper, like the ones sold at Winstonia or Ninja Polish really upped my game, too. It made stamping so much easier! (although, as you can see, still not perfect! lol)
Deletei love the pinky finger
ReplyDeleteThat was one of my fave stamps on the plate - I just wish I could have gotten more of it on my itty-bitty finger!
DeleteThanks, Farryn!
ReplyDeleteI know that I am late but Happy Birthday!! I LOVE this mani, I've been trying to get really into stamping! I need more plates though. I've never heard of Sheswai before! I definitely need to look into them!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Autumn! I enjoy stamping, but it can get addictive - there's always a new plate that I want! The best bang for your buck is probably finding some Cheeky or Bundle MOnster plate sets or XL plates on Amazon. Pueen is also a good deal, too. There are so many international plate makers I want to try!
Deletethis is my fav blog post.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Debra! So, flakie, pink, and stamping is the way to your heart? :)
