And, I love this one. I picked up these Orly polishes at Marshalls, and they are gorgeous! First up, Orly Ancient Jade - lovely, slightly dusty jade green.
I started the dotticure with Orly Water Lily. Love this bright, saturated robin's-egg blue. I could have stopped here. But, I didn't.
Nope, I added Morgan Taylor Water Baby, a pale, pale blue. It almost looks white here. Then I added more Water Lily. Some of the polish got a little thick, so it made goopy droplets. Nobody likes a goopy droplet.
Having goopy dots? Top coat to the rescue!
In the end, I'm glad I added Water Baby. It's a great highlight.
Orly Ancient Jade, Orly Water Lily, and Morgan Taylor Water Baby
I have Orly Ancient Jade and love it too! Its one of my favorite colors in my collection! I always love a good dotting mani too :)
ReplyDeleteI was surprised how much I loved it - it's such a cool green. Dotticures are the most fun!
DeletePerfect color choices! They look wonderful together!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I love greens and blues together, and was happy these worked together!
DeleteIt's a sweet dotticure!
ReplyDeletethank you, Maria!
DeleteAll great colors. I wouldn't know which one to pick!
ReplyDeleteBy itself, I'd have to go with one of the Orlys. I just love the richness of the Orly formula and pigmentaion. I am partial to these older style bottles, too!
Deletehow sweet! I'm a huge fan of the doticure :)
ReplyDeleteMe, too! So many variations on the theme, and it's a perfect way to indulge in simple nail art.
DeleteGreat color combo, I am so wishing for Summer these days!
ReplyDeleteI can wait! lol. Summer in FL means hurricane season, high temps and humidity, and bugs, bugs, bugs. I'll be inside with the A/C on, thanks. lol!
DeleteI love this design, I've been wanting to try it since I saw it on ALU I just haven't had the time to really sit and do the dotting =( Definitely for Easter... that's the goal haha
ReplyDeleteWhat's ALU? I hope you enjoy dotting - no matter what you do, you can't mess up. It's just a little different that what you'd thought, but never wrong!
DeleteGreat design for spring/easter!
ReplyDeleteI keep trying for Summer, and falling short and hitting Spring! lol. I'm so crap at these challenges.
DeleteI love this combination of colors!
ReplyDeleteI do, too. These shades of blue and green are so cool and soothing to me.
