Mystic-al Airbrushing and More from #LuminessAir

Press Samples.  All opinions are my own.
Hello, Fireflies!

I can't believe I was ever scared of airbrush makeup.  I've been loving all the airbrush makeup I've gotten to try from Luminess, and it just keeps getting better.  I never thought I'd like a full-coverage foundation before, but Luminess Mystic is a game changer for me.

Just when I thought Luminess was just about airbrushing, they sent me this amazing box with all kinds of makeup in it from both their airbrush and their Professional lines.

The Fotoset Primer is not an airbrush primer like I've tried in the past.  It's a blurring primer.  It feels light and smooth going on the skin, and I think it looks and feels great under makeup, and even by itself.

The powder was the only fail for me in the box.  I've used these brush/dispenser-in-one before, but I don't like them.  While it can be convenient to have both together, it just doesn't work for me.  I don't like not being able to control how much powder I use, and I don't like not being able to wash the brush without messing up the powder.  Also, this brush was much rougher than my usual brushes, and my Princess Puss didn't like the scratchiness.
I'm not much of an expert on mascara, but I know what I like - and I like this Luminess Infinity Long-Wear mascara.  The formula isn't too wet or heavy, and it gives me lots of volume.  I can put on two thick coats for fullness, but if I do three, it gets chunkier than I like.  My lashes are soft and full, and there's no flaking.  In fact, I wish it were easier to remove, because it doesn't like to come off at all.  I've used several different removers and cleansers, and there's always a little bit left behind. I don't have to wear eyeliner the day after I wear this mascara!

Two coats of the Luminess mascara on the eye to your left, and nothing on the eye to your right.
A very surprising win for me was the Luminess Airbrush Lip Gloss.  I'm not much into glosses, really - they're usually sticky, and don't seem to have much impact.  I love, love this gloss.  It's sheer, but the iridescence lightens my lips and catches the light.  It's not sticky at all, and gives my lips an illusion of being smooth and plumped!
Here's a progression from naked face to full coverage. I love how the Mystic foundation still feels very light.  There's none of that sensation that I'm wearing a mask that I associate with full-coverage foundation.  I didn't get any caking, even if I applied a little extra under my eyes.  I think it looks really natural - plus, it's mineral-based and hypo-allergenic.
In fact, the first look I did is a very natural no-makeup-makeup look.  I feel like I look so young here! Nothing like big eyes and a glowy lip with a fresh face to take off the years.

In addition to the Luminess mascara, I was testing out my Chella heated eyelash curler.  I rarely, if ever, curl my lashes.  With this curler, my lashes got a little crunchy at first, but then they softened back to normal.  I can't believe the difference a curled lash makes.

In addition to the Luminess Mystic (shade 2) foundation, Fotoset Primer, lipgloss, and mascara, I also used my Anastasia Brow Wiz in Dark Brown, Sonia Kashuk Pearlescence Longwear Creme Eyeshadow in 02-Quartz, and my It Cosmetics CC+ Vitality Brightening Creme Blush in Je Ne Sais Quoi.
In this next look, I added a little more color, but stayed with the neutrals.  I used the same Luminess lipgloss, but layered it over a nude lipstick to change it up a little.

I created this look with my new Lorac Pro3 palette.  Oh, the golds.  I'm obsessed.  No eyelash curler this time, and still getting some great volume and lift!

I tried using the Luminess Airbrush Transluscent Finishing Powder for this look, but I actually prefer the slight dewiness of the Mystic foundation.  It sets just fine without powder.

In addition to the Luminess Mystic (shade 2) foundation, Fotoset Primer, lipgloss, mascara, and powder, I also used my Anastasia Brow Wiz in Dark Brown, my Lorac 3 palette, my It Cosmetics CC+ Vitality Brightening Creme Blush in Je Ne Sais Quoi. and Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipstick in Angelic Nude.
Time to kick it up a notch and put on some COLOR! I can't believe I'm wearing a full-coverage foundation and a dramatic eye, and I don't look like I have on 3 inches of makeup.  I don't like the no-color nude lipsticks on myself, but the Luminess Lipgloss by itself is light and shiny, and keeps this look from getting too heavy.

I'm also testing the Luminess CC+ Airbrush Concealer in Ivory in this look.  I don't think I'll need the concealer often with the Mystic foundation, but I wanted a little smooth-eye insurance with the more dramatic eyeshadow.  No setting powder needed for smooth coverage that lasts.

Who says brown-eyed girls shouldn't wear blue shadow?  Loving this blue/green/gold look with the Urban Decay Shadow Box.
I used most of the same makeup for this look.

In addition to the Luminess Mystic (shade 2) foundation, CC+ Airbrush Concealer in Ivory, Fotoset Primer, lipgloss, and mascara, I also used my Anastasia Brow Wiz in Dark Brown, Urban Decay Shadowbox palette, Catrice Illuminating Highlighter Pen, and my It Cosmetics CC+ Vitality Brightening Creme Blush in Je Ne Sais Quoi.
