Keeping The Hair On My Head With Hiara #hiarahairtowel

Hello, Fireflies!

My hair and I haven't always been friends.  When I was younger, I didn't know how to take care of my curly hair.  Now, I take every opportunity to pamper it - hair masks, oils, treatments - and my Hiara hair towel!

One of the things that can cause hair to break - especially curly hair - is to roughly towel dry it after washing.  A regular towel can snag hairs in the fibers, and either tangle them up, rough up the cuticle, or even snap the hair right off.
Hiara hair towel directions
After I wash my hair, I squeeze the excess water out with my hands, apply some leave-in conditioner, and then I pull all my hair to the front of my head and carefully fold it up and gather it to the top of my head.  I put the Hiara hair towel on the back of my head, tuck the front in, and twist the front of the towel.  The front has an elastic that attaches to a button on the back, holding everything together securely.  The back of the Hiara hair towel is curved to hold on to the back of my head, and it's bigger than any of my other hair towels, so it holds all my hair!
Hiara hair towel benefits and features
Because it's microfiber, the hair towel can absorb a lot of water from my hair, helping it to dry faster - a real boon for me, since I rarely blow-dry my hair.  It's also much more lightweight and smaller than a regular towel, so it's more comfortable to wear on my head.  It's also easy to take care of - just throw it in the wash - but not the dryer!

The bonus headband has become my new favorite headband for facial treatments.  It's really nice and plush, wide enough to keep all my hair out of my face, and has a nice, secure velcro fastener, so I can adjust it to my head.  Unlike any of my other headbands, it's curved, so it really fits nicely around my Charlie Brown-round head.

Can you believe all my hair fits under that towel?  At 34x13 inches, it's big enough for even all my hair.  This hair towel is such a simple thing, but it's an indispensable part of my routine now.  I don't have to worry about cold, wet hair on my neck and back, or getting in the way while I put on my lotions and potions.

My mani was inspired by the color and texture of my Hiara hair towel.  I tried to create a textured look by painting 2b Ice Green over the texture of OPI Solitaire, but it didn't quite work.  What did work was going to bed with wet nails and getting sheet marks and dents in them, and then dabbing a little Sally Hansen Satin Glam in Teal Tulle to brighten up the color.  It was an accidental texture, but a happy accident!

If you're looking for an easy way to dry your hair faster, keep breakage to a minimum, and keep cold, wet hair off your neck, you might enjoy this Hiara hair towel as much as I do.   If you don't, they have a lifetime money-back guarantee!

This towel usually retails for $29.95 on Amazon, but is currently on sale for $14.95.
