What To Get The Beauty Goddess Who Has Everything - Including Blemishes

Hello, Fireflies!

One of the best things I discovered about skincare was the power of serums.  And, the more powerful, the better! With my oily skin, I can't put on a heavy or rich moisturizer without breaking out, but I can apply these concentrated serums and get powerful, concentrated ingredients where they need to be without the blemishes.  This Skin Clearing Serum from Radha Beauty promises lots of skin-loving ingredients, plus help getting rid of my existing blemishes - sounds like WIN all 'round!

If you've been around the blog for any length of time, you've heard me complain about the paradox of having aging skin that still thinks it's going through puberty.  It's a fine line to walk to make sure that my skin gets all the nutrients a 40+ year old mug needs, and still balance oil production, because most anti-aging products assume that old skin = dry skin.

Skin Clearing Serum from Radha Beauty
Radha (pronounced "rada") means 'Beauty Goddess', and this goddess likes ingredients that are natural, like Aloe Vera, Hyaluronic Acid, Tea Tree, Lavender. and Rosehip oils.  This serum is also made without fillers, dyes, or parabens, and is cruelty-free.

I asked my husband to switch from a Retinol serum he was using on his face and head to this serum.  The retinol was really clearing up his clogged pores and blemishes, but was leaving his tender scalp looking almost fragile.  This serum combined the skin-clearing effects of retinol, plus using salicylic acid to pretty much wipe out the blemishes on his scalp, and the oils and moisturizers are helping to make that skin look more youthful again.

I decided to test this serum on my torso, where I get a lot of blemishes.  Florida + big girl + bra = blemishes.  This serum started clearing up my problem in just a few days.  The spots of discoloration take a lot longer to lighten up, but they're already starting to after a month.

The serum itself is a thin, milky white liquid that absorbs quickly with no residue.  There's only one problem with this serum that both myself and my husband had, and that's the smell.  Radha doesn't use any chemical or added fragrances, and in this case, I kinda wish they would.  The serum has a medicinal smell that we didn't care for.  Even my husband, whose nose barely works, found that he didn't like the smell, though it wasn't enough to dissuade him from using it.  Don't get me wrong, it's not offensive or anything, it's just not one that we like, and certainly not one I want to use on my face, right next to my nose.  Fragrance is a personal thing, and it may not perceived the same way by others as it was by us.  Radha offers a lifetime satisfaction guarantee on their products, so if you are unhappy in any way, they will refund your money.
I'm loving this silver and black mani inspired by the Radha Beauty Skin Clearing Serum packaging.  The base is Pahlish Mountains Beyond Mountains, and the stripes were done with striping tape, a black striper, and a silver glitter striper from Milani.

For more information, or to purchase these, you can find Radha Beauty on their website, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Amazon, where this Skin Clearing Serum is currently on sale for $21.89.
