Hello, Fireflies!

When it comes to bath products, I am a scent-a-holic.  Plain soaps don't transport me like a wonderfully scented one! I was pretty excited to try this mint/tea tree Therapeautic Soap from Oleavine with those magic words on the label:  "Soothing Relief."

Oleavine's name is derived from "olive" and "from the vine" and is rooted in their belief of the healthy, natural, Mediterranean lifestyle.  This cleanser is 100% natural and plant based, and made in small batches using traditional European methods without any preservatives, thickeners, detergents, petroleum, silicone, synthetic fragrance or dyes.
I love mint-scented body washes, and find them invigorating! I also like that the mint covers up the scent of the tea tree oil, which I find a little medicinal for a body wash.  Tea Tree oil is amazing stuff.  It's naturally antibacterial and antifungal, so it makes a great natural treatment for itchy skin.  It's also great for people who like to sweat in public places that involve locker rooms and are havens for things like jock itch and foot fungus.

I got pretty excited about the soothing properties of this soap the first time I took it into the shower.  Instead of just using it for my feet or my body, I decided to use it on my face, too.  Between the heady minty scent and the tea tree tingling, I think it was too strong for me to use as a face wash.  There's another part of my body I won't be using it on again, either.  I had to keep adjusting my knickers for a few hours after that shower.
Where this soap really shines for me is in the foot bath.  My feet and legs have been swollen and sore lately, and the combination of a warm soak with the cool and refreshing mint was perfection.  I watched some TV and let the bubbles float my cares away.  Even Pax, my old dog, wanted to be at my nicely-scented feet!
My nail art today is inspired by the Tea Tree packaging.  I used A England Beauty Never Fails, a gorgeous deep olive green glitter, as the base, and Finger Paints Black Expressionism and Paper Mache for the tree stamping.
If you like minty soap, or have a lifestyle that has you coming into frequent contact with bacteria and fungus, or you enjoy the skin-soothing benefits of neem and tea tree oil, you might enjoy washing your body or soaking your hands or feet with this Therapeautic Soap!  For more information, or to purchase, you can find Oleavine on their website, Facebook, or on Amazon, where this soap currently retails for $16.75.
