Vanilla Glam

Forlan BB Cream is a Press Sample.  All opinions are my own.

Hello, Fireflies!

Why does 'vanilla' have to mean boring?  I love vanilla! I have a makeup and nails look today that I wore to a party, and made that vanilla look as glam as I could.

This look is only vanilla in that it's a creamy nude eye. The metallic finish paired with a kitten winged eyeliner and red lipstick takes it up a notch. It's a classic look that really goes with just about everything!

I really love my earrings, too.  I think they were a Groupon find.

I just kept layering some of my shiniest Colour Pop eyeshadows until I got the metallic look I was going for.

Here's what I used:  Forlan BB Cream, (not pictured, but paired with Laura Geller Liquid Baked Radiance foundation), DIY pigment blush/highlighter/bronzer, Becca Champagne Pop, It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores pressed powder and Brow Power in Universal Taupe, Urban Decay shadow primer, Perversion mascara, and Ozone lip liner, Marc Jacobs So Rouge lipstick, Colour Pop shadows in Valley Girl, Party Girl, Summer Lover, Onai, Roulette, Cornelius, and liner in Bustier.

The Colour Pop liners seem to be getting mixed reviews, but I absolutely love Bustier.  It's dark, thick, and DOES.NOT.MOVE.  Even NARS Black Valley moves a little on me - my watery eyes just wash away anything in my outer corner.  Except this.

I also did my nails to match my dress.  My thumb has my representation of the top part of the dress with the keyhole detail, and the bottom half of the dress was black and vanilla stripes, like my other fingers.  I just liked the one vanilla nail as an accent.

Are you glammed-out from the holidays, or is there still a little partying left to do?
