Dark, Shiny, Glittery Butter

Does this polish look black? 

In Real Life, it's a dark, vampy red, but I think it photographs very dark, almost black.  One thing I don't like about this kind of polish is that it makes my cuticles look like they're bleeding if I don't clean up perfectly.

To brighten the look, I added BL Shambolic (again! I know!  I love this glitter.) in a square area in the corner of each nail, and used BL Teetotal, a coffee brown, to outline it.

I took a picture at this stage because I was going to try adding another line, and I wanted to have one good pix in case I screwed it up...

I like it better with the extra line, though! What do you think?

I know I saw this pattern on another blog somewhere, because I'm not creative enough to make this up on my own.  If you know where to find the original, please let me know in the comments, and I'll give credit.  I do know that the original I saw had a completely different color scheme, but still had the glitter in the corner and squares around the glitter.
