Hello, Fireflies!
As I get more into makeup, I'm loving a lot of Indie brands for the great quality and unique colors and products they can offer. I jumped at the chance to try a few items from Chicago-based Indie, Fusion of Color, owned by Kathy Duncan.
Lots of products, pictures, and a full-makeup look ahead. Read on to see if I liked this brand!
I tried to select products that would allow me to create a whole look, start to finish. I wish I could show you ALL the products they have! Everything is cruelty-free, and their mineral cosmetics are free from oil, talc, dyes, and parabens.
I started with Fusion of Color Perfect Canvas Skin Perfect Beauty Balm.
You know how sometimes the first thing you try from a new brand just sets the stage for all that comes? I loved this lotion from the word GO. It has a light, fresh fragrance that doesn't linger, and absorbs quickly into the skin. No oily feeling - great for this oily-skinned gal.
Fusion of Color Perfect Canvas Primer is a silicone-based primer, and it feels very silky like one. In my picture, you can see.. well, you can't see it. That's the point. No oily sheen, no tacky feeling. Just a smooth base for makeup.
Fusion of Color Aura Lusion Diamond Powder is for that 'your skin but better' look, similar to the idea of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders. This powder can be used under or over foundation, or even mixed into the foundation to give your skin a subtle change.

I also chose three eyeshadows: Midori, a satin light, bright green; Mulberry, a gorgeous purple with berry shimmer, and Rainstorm, a dark grey with blue shimmer.
As a blogger, how could I pass up the opportunity to own a lipstick named after Twitter, my frenemy? Ah, social media, you are a fickle mistress - but this lipstick won't let you down. Fusion of Color Twitter is a gorgeous MLBB matte rose that I think has a satiny, flattering finish.
Now that I have all these makeup swatches everywhere, time to get it off - with Fusion of Color Cleansing Oil. This oil can be washed or wiped off with a tissue, like I did here. It's made with Rice Bran, Apricot, and Grapeseed oils.
Here's a berry pretty (get it? berry?) look I did with Fusion of Color cosmetics. I used everything I've told you about, except the Midori eyeshadow, because I just couldn't figure out how to work it into this look.
I did use a few extra things. I needed a matte transition color, so I picked up one from my It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty palette. The crease color is that gorgeous Mulberry, and I used Rainstorm to darken my outer V.
I used my Peach Girl BB Cream and Flower concealer to even out my skintone, and also added a little bit of Jouer Dahlia to the Radience Ariana on my cheeks. My Physician's Formula brow pencil helped define my brows (though I admit, it's not my fave), and I am still reaching for my Rimmel Scandal Eyes Retro Glam mascara!
Look what a great job the Cleansing Oil did removing all the makeup - and it rinsed off cleanly with warm water and a washcloth.
I wish I could say the same for the last product I tried, the Ten Image Facial Regenerator. It's a physical exfoliator that has shell powder in it. It was a little scratchy, but I know some of you like to actually feel that exfoliation happening. You'll feel this one. It was also a little hard to wash off - it's very thick and creamy. At the sink, I had to rinse twice. I have since relocated it to my shower, and it's perfect there. I like to leave it on a little longer in the shower and rinse it off at the end with my hair conditioner.
Kudos if you made it this far! TL;DR - I love almost everything I tried from Fusion of Cosmetics. Great stuff for prepping and priming, lovely shimmery shades for color. Everything is cruelty free!
