Cult Nails Fairytale Collection

I admit it, I'm a fangirl when it comes to Cult Nails.  They are one of the few indie polish brands that puts out great polishes, not just glitterbombs.  I like glitter okay, but it's not my main focus when I do my nails.  Cult Nails puts out great colors with a great formula that I can wear how I want to - plain, with art, or with glitter.

At the blogger meetup, we were all provided with the new Cult FairyTale Collection.

The bad girls always get attention first, don't they?  This is Evil Queen, a bright red that reads *pinup girl* to me.  It's a perfect summertime red: in-your-face, saturated, glossy.  This is two coats with no topcoat.

This is Princess.  It's a beautiful baby blue with a copper shimmer that my camera is just not picking up on.  Formula was great, this is two coats, no topcoat.

I thought it might be similar to the much-lusted after Sinful Colors' Cinderella, but it wasn't.  It was more like what I wanted Cinderella to be when I heard about it.  I had trouble with the SC formula.  This is 3 coats of Cinderella on my index and ring finger, and there's still a little VNL.  The middle and pinky fingers are Princess, with the middle being the most color-correct for Princess.

This is Charming.  It is more purple in RL, but, as always, the digital camera and purple don't play nicely.  Charming has a beautiful iridescent shimmer.  One of the ladies at the blog meetup was wearing this color, and, in a room full of polished nails, hers got noticed!  Charming is the most sheer in the collection - this is three coats, no topcoat.

This was my personal favorite from this collection:  Feelin' Froggy.  I didn't want to take this off!  It's a clear, bright, kelly green. Look at that shine - a green that glows.  This is two coats, no topcoat.

And, because every fairy tale deserves a Happy Ending, that's what this collection finishes with .  Happy Ending is a glitter layering polish.  It works well with every color in this collection - whatever color you put it on seems to pull that color out of the glitter.  I usually like my glitter to only go about 2/3 of the way up the nail, and I dabbed this on, rather than swiped.  I feel like I have more control over the placement that way.
